Vista Equity Partners hosted its 2025 Vista Agentic AI Hackathon from July 21–23, bringing together HBCU students for a 24-hour tech challenge focused on the future of artificial intelligence. Held in Washington, D.C., the event welcomed students from across the country to work with tech industry leaders to build generative AI-powered agents designed to solve real-world problems.
Participation was fully sponsored by Vista, including travel, hotel accommodations, and meals,ensuring that students could focus entirely on collaboration, learning, and innovation.

Students joined teams from the leading software companies and competed for cash prizes. The hackathon was part of Vista’s broader mission to increase access to tech careers, while equipping students with the tools to thrive in a digital-first future.
The internXL team was proud to attend the event and amplify the experience of HBCU students through on-site storytelling, video interviews, and content capture.

The initiative was built to match high-potential talent with paid internships, full-time opportunities, and the wraparound support needed to thrive in today’s workforce.
